Laser cut illustrations set the scene for a theatrical performance, an interactive toy for the children who receive this invitation.
This invitation was for a magical Children’s party, hosted at the iconic Aynhoe Park house with Dazzle and Fizz parties and was featured on BBC 2’s ‘The Millionaire’s Gift Guide’ showing concept through to the final piece.
Cutture was featured within the BBC 2 documentary ‘The Millionaire’s Gift Guide’ which was aired on the 3rd January 2016 and we were thrilled to be a part of the show. We created a special Children’s Christmas party invitation for a magical event by Dazzle and Fizz parties and hosted by Aynhoe Park.
The documentary showed a little of our process, from our initial design consultation with Charlotte and Sophie to the craftsmanship that goes into one of our invitations. We wanted to create an invitation that had life beyond its purpose, we feel that children’s party invitations don’t actually need to be elaborate, unless they have an afterlife. Our solution? To create a magical theatre in a box which can be enjoyed as a toy long after the event. The invitation was of course based on the brief from Sophie and Charlotte to emulate the essence of the magical Christmas party and show, and to incorporate the wonderful venue and the taxidermy that it is famous for, our dream brief!
